Senior Mortgage Administrator

Salary up to $70,000 + Bonus + Benefits + 3 weeks vacation

Due to growth, our client, one of the fastest growing companies in the investment industry and an active owner of global real estate assets is seeking a Senior Mortgage Administrator to assist with servicing the company’s mortgage book of business. As part of the servicing team, you will be responsible for maintaining records, posting transactions, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and investors.   • Service the portfolio of loans from the advance of funds to the full repayment of the mortgage loan
  • Prepare and provide mortgage statements for clients
  • Administer renewal of mortgages on mortgage software and completion of AML requirements
  • Investigate, escalate and resolve queries for internal and external clients
  • Arrange payments of property taxes
  • Reconciliation of investor accounts as required
  • Monthly investor portfolio reporting for internal and external use
  • Review advances, calculate interest payments, follow up on closing items, issue discharge statements, prepare letters for annual mortgage review and prepare renewal agreements
  • Update and maintain various trackers and prepare monthly reports for management, investors and internal departments
  • Manage and resolve system or reporting issues with mortgage software
  • Develop effective controls to ensure accuracy of information in mortgage loan system
  • Maintenance of mortgage files, including saving all relevant documents to electronic mortgage files


  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a mortgage administration or lending role
  • Understanding of commercial and multi-residential mortgage lending practice
  • Third level/post-secondary education or comparable financial services experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage software is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
