Our client, a family office, is looking for a Records Management Technician to join their team! The Records Management Technician is responsible for all aspects of overseeing record management and administrative duties. If you are very organized, detail-oriented, and have record management experience, this opportunity could be for you!
Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight of company’s records management function
  • Handles administrative duties that are routine and straightforward such as processing and maintaining corporate records for company departments including: records retention, classification, and destruction
  • Follows established procedures and policies within the department when maintaining records
  • Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal and external clients
  • Trains personnel on records policies and procedures and records management system software
  • Assists personnel with record retrieval
  • Acts as the first point of contact for external records management service providers
  • Manages off-site storage: requests records from off-site; processes and transfers records for off-site and maintains inventory lists
  • Keeps an accurate inventory pertaining to capture, storage, retention, retrieval, and destruction of company records
  • Handles a variety of confidential administrative tasks
  • Maintains accurate and organized files and records
  • Researches new technologies in records management and provides recommendations
  • Organizes and maintains agreements or process documents and ensures process steps and/or terms of agreements are adhered to
  • Assists with the development and implementation of company’s Records Management Program
  • Maintains an electronic database of company records
Qualifications
  • 2 years of related record & document management experience
  • Experience working in a legal environment considered an asset
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
