Group Benefits Manager

Salary up to $55,000 + Bonus + Benefits + 3 Weeks’ Vacation!!

Our client, a reputable international insurance provider is seeking an Group Benefits Manager who is looking for an organization with a fun and flexible work environment. As a Group Benefits Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to your client base. You will be responsible for ensuring clients receive excellent customer service, and diligently monitor clients’ accounts. Responsibilities:

  • Respond to routine client inquires, address concerns and provide resolutions ensuring compliance with policy guidelines
  • Document, track and process client discussions; maintain up to date employer interactions and follow-up as appropriate
  • Monitor client accounts and recommend or initiate changes
  • Contribute to Client Services’ objective of providing outstanding, quality service to Employers while functioning as an effective team player
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to increase knowledge related to the company’s products and services
  • Apprise clients of ever-changing provincial and federal legislation and its potential impact upon their program, and audit/prepare associated benefit documentation
  • Expedite claims processing & billing issues, and review, discuss and negotiate renewals with insurers and or specialty claims administrators
  • Prepare comprehensive renewal reports, bench-marking analysis reports, and ad hoc reporting as per client’s requests
  • Ensure that client programs remain competitive and meet client’s needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in related field (Group Benefits)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment.
  • Must be very detail oriented with advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and at a level appropriate for the client
  • Strong decision-making skills are required with sound judgement, prudence and integrity
  • Experience with financial reporting in order to produce professional reports for management, clients and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Insurance industry and has hands on experience in all facets of Insurance administration
  • Strong ability to be self-managed, meticulous with a positive and energetic attitude
