Genomic Specialist (GTA and Ontario)

Salary up to 90K + Commission + Benefits + 4 Weeks Vacation!!

Our client, a leading provider of innovative and advanced laboratory equipment, enhancing research in the field of biology is seeking a Genomic Specialist to become and integral part of their business development team. Working from your home office and reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the successful candidate will provide unrivaled support to their customer base and representatives within their region. They will possess strong communication skills to ensure strong working relationships are built and reflect a proactive and enthusiastic approach to their work. Furthermore, the candidate will have the skills to identify needs and sales opportunities and plan the execution of growth strategies.   • Manage day to day sales activities in the GTA and Ontario
  • Identify priorities for growth and support the customer by finding resources to assist in your sales activities.
  • Work with manufacturers to manage expectations, forecast and allocation of resources
  • Assist with previous sales strategies and provide support
  • Work and consistently communicate with representatives within the field.  
  • Manage and conduct weekly group sales calls to communicate key points of information
  • Manage customer expectations and complaints in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prospect for new customers, qualify leads, and train customers on the use of equipment
  • Identify customer needs and market trends.


  • Must have a background in Biosciences
  • Experience with Molecular Biology and Protein Biology is an asset.
  • 2+ years experience within a sales environment.
  • Knowledge of life sciences, genomics, biobanking and automated cell culture is an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Account management skills and cold calling experience
  • Must have access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license
  • Able to travel throughout GTA and Ontario
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude
  • Home office
