Digital Marketing Specialist

Salary up to 60k + Vacation Time + Benefits!!

Our client, located in the Caribbean seeks an Digital Marketing Specialist to join their Toronto based team! Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist will attend industry-related events, act as a representative of a Caribbean Island and contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans, budgets, sales and initiatives.   • Promotes the Island as a preferred travel destination to consumers through effective marketing plans and develops and implements the marketing and promotional plan for the Island
  • Attends various consumer and trade shows and events where and when required to oversee the exhibit and sell to visitor interest
  • Manages Canada database and executes CRM program in line with CASL regulations
  • Manages and updates Canada website for ongoing content and promotions
  • Researches demographic, psychographic and other lifestyle profiles to identify target markets and consumers
  • Builds relationships with travel industry producers (tour operators, OTA’s)
  • Responds in a timely manner, to telephone or written requests for tourism-related or general information about the Island
  • At times, may be required to conduct or direct specific projects or studies and provide progress reports within a specified timeframe
  • Travel across Ontario and Eastern Canada, as well as to the Island 1-2 times per year



  • Associate degree or equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration, with a concentration or certificate in Marketing or Tourism
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience Marketing Tourism in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a consumer marketing related field, including digital marketing, editing and updating websites
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational and time management skills
  • Basic coding skills (HTML)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with sales and promotional events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
