Our client, one of the five leading Canadian banks is looking for an Data Entry Specialist (Banking) to join our Toronto team for a 4 month contract!

Pay Rate: $18.38/hour (Paid Weekly)
Contract Duration: 4 months with the possibility of extension
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday  8:30 am - 5:00 pm 

Must have good credit history and clear criminal record

Job Description:

The main function of a data entry specialist is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical data entry specialist is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read source documents such as client account applications, investment policy statements, data reports and enter data in specific data fields into MS Excel or databases for subsequent entry, using keyboards or scanners
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered
  • Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors
  • Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work

Job Requirements:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time 
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information 
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test (May be required)
  • Detail oriented
  • Excel and analytical skills
  • Personable
  • Flexibility capability to take on various tasks
  • Open to taking on new tasks
  • Technical skills include documentation skills and time management

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prefer post secondary 
  • New grads welcome (can still be completing school)
  • 2-4 years related experience required
  • 2 years experience with Microsoft Suites, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • 2 years data entry experience
