Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for a Data Entry Clerk (Banking) to join their team for a 1 year contract!

Location: 3500 Steeles Avenue East, Markham
Pay Rate: $17.34/hr
Contract Duration: 1 year
Hours of Work: Mon – Fri 9:00am to 5:00pm (must be flexible to work over-time / a Saturday shift if business need requires)

Must have good credit history and clear criminal record

Job Description:

  • Operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data
  • Responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management
  • Read source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills and enter data in specific data fields
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered
  • Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors
  • Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Detail oriented and able to accurately document and record customer/client information, with the ability to type 50 wpm
  • Working proficiency with computer applications, such as MS Excel and Outlook (must be able to navigate and do formulas)
  • Interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Ability to multi-task
  • 2+ years previous customer service and/or data entry experience
  • Previous banking experience an asset
