Construction & Facilities Project Manager – Toronto

Salary ranging from $95K - $105K + Benefits + Vacation!!

 

Our client, a growing commercial Real Estate consulting group is looking for a Construction & Facilities Project Manager to be responsible for planning and managing commercial projects. As a Project Manager you will manage all aspects of tenant renovation and relocation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of the project from the project initiation to the project closure. In addition, it will be your responsibility to oversee and manage the projects are completed in accordance to industry standards. If you are a Project Manager with previous experience in managing renovation and relocation projects, with the ability to handle multiple projects at once, then this is the role for you!!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organizing, implementing and controlling all assigned projects from initiation to project closure
  • Manage all aspects of tenant renovation & relocation projects
  • Manage the entire life cycle of the project and keep project phase(s) on schedule and within budget
  • Complete the Project life-cycle using a PMI based process from initiation, planning, design, implementation and project close out
  • Manage changes in scope, timing and deliverables with external vendors and project stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage project activities to ensure projects are completed in accordance to the client's expectations and maintain ongoing communication with clients on all key details
  • Manage and monitor project risks to mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns
  • Regularly assesses/evaluates quality of service of external service providers
  • Work with external vendors in identifying any cost and/or time related savings
  • Complete vendor procurement for Designers, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Movers and Furniture Suppliers and manage the vendor contracts to ensure deliverables are met
  • Provide the highest level of client service
  • Foster and maintain team work between the integrated brokerage and interior design departments
  • Demonstrate high standards of professional ethics and fairness

 

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma and/or University Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project and/or Facilities Management
  • Experience in Project Management acting on the behalf of the client is required
  • PMP and/or LEED designation is required
  • GTA experience in commercial Projects, Move and/or Facilities Management dealing with contractors, consultants and clients is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial project and/or move management processes and tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able prioritize and handle multiple, multi-phase projects at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & own vehicle
