Bilingual Customer Service Representative (Mandarin)

Annual Salary up to $38K + Full Benefits + Vacation Time!

Our client, a reputable international insurance provider is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join their growing team in Downtown Toronto on a 1-year contract basis, with the possibility to go permanent. In this role, you will be responsible for answering client inquiries with accurate, relevant and timely information. As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will represent the company’s core values and offer an optimal level of service to our clients.  If you have outstanding customer service skills with a patient attitude and works well in a fast-paced environment, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of client interactions and provide relevant, prompt, and accurate information in a professional and courteous manner
  • Review all aspects of a client’s request and offer solutions and information to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage client requests and educate members on various options to assist with decision making regarding their transactions
  • Process event-related transactions
  • Act in a proactive manner with respect to keeping client files up-to-date
  • Follow up with clients in accordance to company guidelines regarding expected or outstanding information
  • Keep abreast of changes to company products & services

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or University Degree (emphasis in Finance or Business preferred)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Client Service oriented environment
  • Bilingualism (Mandarin & English) is required
  • Effective conflict resolution skills that will be used when dealing with both internal and external clients
  • Strong decision-making skills are required with sound judgement, prudence and integrity
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and an ability to communicate complex information clearly and at a level appropriate for the client
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals
