Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for a Bilingual (EN/FR) Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team for a 6-month contract!

Downtown Toronto (Financial District)
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour (some flexibility)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: 6-months, with the possibility of extension

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read source documents and enter data in specific data fields for subsequent entry, using keyboards or scanners
  • Prepare incoming paper invoices to send by e-mail
  • Print check requisitions, invoices, and authorizations
  • Classify the payment requisitions by order of suppliers and give them to his superior for signing checks
  • Perform daily and / or weekly shipment of checks and the classification of invoices and checks recovered
  • Participate in the opening of new clients accounts
  • Complete manual checks and drafts in foreign currency and save them in the system
  • Meet monthly and annual deadlines

Job Requirements: 

  • Post-secondary education and/or one year of relevant experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication in both English and French
  • Previous experience working with customers over the phone
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct work with discretion, autonomy and initiative
