Account Manager (Mutual Funds)

Salary up to $90,000

Our client, a partnership with over 70 years of collective experience has embarked on a newly created venture as a Mutual Funds Dealer, and is looking for a motivated and eager Account Manager to join the growing team in Downtown Toronto.  As an Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that will evolve as the company grows. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and strengthening advisor relationships within specific territories that are assigned to you. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accounts and responding to any inquiries from clients. If you are financial services professional, who is highly motivated and has a strong ability to multi-task, with experience in a sales capacity, then we want to hear from you!


  • Perform proactive call and sales campaigns to promote Company services to existing and potential clients
  • Develop campaigns and assist in delivery of sales presentations
  • Provide sales strategies, concepts, marketing ideas and support to financial advisors
  • Generate referrals for Management team
  • Schedule and arrange meetings for the Management team with clients who are interested in incorporating Company services into their business
  • Respond to inquiries on account services, products, fund management strategies, and industry trends
  • Proactively prospect/identify financial advisors who are interested in Company services and are open to incorporating our services within their book of business
  • Updating daily call activities and maintaining accurate advisor records within Salesforce and support ticket systems on a timely basis
  • Work closely with and support efforts of other team members
  • Other duties as assigned


  • University Degree or College business diploma
  • Completion of IFIC operations and/or CSC required
  • Securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry experience is required
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the financial services industry in a sales capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients
  • Ability to be resourceful and provide effective solutions for advisors
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Able to work in a high-volume environment with extremely demanding time frames
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
