Sales Data Analyst – Toronto, ON

Up to $45K Base Salary, Flexible Working Hours

We have a client seeking a full-time Sales Data Analyst for their Toronto office. They are a smaller but well established independent book publisher that markets their products through major distribution channels. The position covers a breadth of data entry and reporting duties, including but not limited to sales data entry, analysis, report generation, inventory reconciliation, operational and accounting support.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a small tight knit team, you will be supporting data analysis associated with their product sales
  • Sales and other data analysis, inventory analysis, reporting, data entry, invoicing, and accounting support using MS Excel and Filemaker
  • Purchase order management, inventory analysis (including stock and back orders), store sales tracking, and royalty reporting for authors
  • Proofing/editing/summarizing data reports
  • Revenue tracking, by product and territory; assisting entry into accounting system
  • Filing, organizing, copying, faxing, and responding to internal and external inquiries as required by the team
  • Support the accounting and operations team with other duties

Qualifications:

  • One year of clerical/administrative experience in an office environment
  • Undergraduate post-secondary degree or education
  • Advanced computer skills, must have strong MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.) and preferably MAC environment software like Filemaker
  • Accounting experience (Simply Accounting software) experience a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating confidence in working with and interpreting data, reporting and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Ethical, hardworking, positive attitude with strong initiative

Job Offer:

  • Base salary range of $40,000 – 45,000 (commensurate upon experience)
