Our Financial Client is Currently Seeking a Reconciliations Officer in Downtown Toronto

Pay Rate:  $ 19.00/ Hr

Location:  Downtown Toronto

Duration:  Temporary Assignment

Hours:      Monday – Friday  8:30am - 5:00pm

Job Summary:

Reports to the Team Manager, the incumbent will be part of a team that is responsible for the production of Canadian and US Tax reporting for all business lines. The role involves maintaining a high standard of work quality, excellent relationship with our business partners as well as adhering to all regulatory requirements within their prescribed time frames.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review entries posted by various departments to the tax file, ensuring accuracy, investigating discrepancies and ensuring corrections are completed prior to the generation of yearend tax receipts
  • Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Review client documentation as it relates to IRS reporting
  • Always provide high quality service when dealing with clients to demonstrate Wealth Shared Services commitment to putting our clients first
  • Protect the bank’s interests and minimize risk by complying with procedures, standards and controls
  • Escalate issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained

Job Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education required/University degree an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, applications and processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills- Advanced MS Excel skills are a requirement
  • Self-driven with ability to work effectively and within a close team environment

Education Requirements:

  • High school education required
  • Post-secondary preferred (Finance/Accounting degree)

  • Post- secondary degree

  • Team player & collaborative
