Our client, one of the five leading Canadian banks is looking for an Bilingual (FR/ENG)- Onboarding Processing Officer (Banking) to join our Markham team for a 2 month contract!

Pay Rate: $18.26/hour (Paid Weekly)
Contract Duration: 2 months with the possibility of extension
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm (7.5 hours daily)

Must have good credit history and clear criminal record

Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible for a high level of both administrative and relationship support relating to the Onboarding functions for businesses bank-wide. Duties will include:

  • Responding to general inquiries regarding new hires
  • Pulling and Sending all background checks results for all new hires to the bank
  • Auditing and authentication of new hire documentation received from Talent Acquisition coordinators
  • Generating Employee IDs for international hires
  • Reviewing and Opening all Requisitions 
  • Complete onboarding process - specifically verifying background checks with vendors
  • Partner with other teams within the banking industry for alerts that arise
  • Communicating with candidates during onboarding process
  • Reporting - running reports not analysis

Job Requirements:

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality, as well as escalating issues where appropriate
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Take initiative to identify and recommend improvements in own job function, research and/or investigate issues requiring resolution in order to execute on assigned tasks
  • Prioritize and manage own workflow to ensure quality and efficiency (i.e. meet deadlines; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities), ability to multitask, attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
  • Ability to identify key objectives and associated risks related to the businesses processes
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Team-oriented: works well with other team members and keeps clients and team, updated in timely manner

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • 2-4 years of data entry/ relevant experience
