Our financial client in Mississauga is currently seeking an Operations Officer to join their team.

Pay Rate: $ 14.74/hr

Location:  Mississauga

Duration:  5 Months

Hours:    9:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri

Summary: The main function of a Service Officer is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical Service Officer is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Technical skills include documentation skills and time management. 

Job Responsibilities: Verification of accuracy of mortgage/line of credit deals. Completion of tasks required for mortgage deals to be funded. Telephone and e-mail communication with solicitors, other financial institutions and branch sales advisors. Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered using computer systems. Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors. Maintain logs of activities and completed work. 


1.) Previous banking experience 
2.) Computer Savvy 
3.) Proficient with MS office - esp. Outlook 
4.) Attention to detail 
5.) Team player 


1) Mortgage knowledge, exposure and lending experience. 
2) Experience working in an back office operations environment. 

- High school or GED required 
- Post secondary (College or Uni) preferred
