Our Client, a public service transportation provider, is looking for a Senior Clerk to start immediately.
 
Details:
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm 40 hour work week, Monday to Friday
Contract: 2 month - possibility of extension 
Location: Downtown
Must have a clear criminal record
Pay: $15.00/hour
 
Job Description:
Performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the day-to-day operations of the Station Cleaning Section
Preparing the necessary documentation for the procurement of supplies, materials and services
Reconciling and processing packing slips, invoices and receipts
Expediting materials, usually through the Materials & Procurement Department
Establishing, maintaining and updating a variety of records and computer databases
Attending attendance management and disciplinary interviews, taking notes, preparing related documentation & letters as required
Distributing and tracking the issuing of employee transportation passes, work clothing, safety footwear and work clothes  cleaning vouchers
Liaising with hourly employees regarding the eye-wear program and arranging eye appointments as required
Requesting/issuing security keys, and ensuring keys are retrieved as required
Coordinating the Safety Award Program for the section
Attending Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings, taking notes, preparing minutes and distributing same
Preparing payroll for section staff and maintaining up-to-date attendance and vacation entitlement report
 
Job Requirements:
Secondary school graduation, or the equivalent, and several years of directly related work experience
Sound knowledge of modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment
Proficiency in the use of a PC and related software applications/computer systems relevant to the work (MS Office)
Good keyboard skills, basic mathematics and excellent organizational skills to meet established deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills for the purpose of exchanging and obtaining information
Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders  including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees
