Our client in public transportation for the city of Toronto is seeking a Senior Clerical Assistant to assist within the Infrastructure Department.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative support position including payroll experience.
 
Contract – 8 months
 
Location – Midtown Toronto – Dupont Station Area
 
Rate of Pay – $16.50 / hour
 
Hours of Work – Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
 
Summary
 
Reporting to the Administrative Assistant, the Senior Clerical Assistant provides administrative support to the Senior Manager, Manager of Safety, Project Management, Manager of Track and Structure Maintenance within the Infrastructure Department.
 
Responsibilities
  • Organize meetings using Outlook calendar, attending meetings and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Process payroll, verifying vacation records for multiple business units.
  • Receive and distribute mail to senior management team.
  • Provide additional support to the Administrative Assistant as needed.
  • Additional related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related experience in an administrative support capacity
  • Payroll experience is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must have a clear criminal record
