Sales Engineer, FinTech – GTA

Salary $95,000 - $100,000 + Bonus up to $12,000


Our client, a leading financial technology solutions firm, is seeking to hire their next Sales Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and managing the technology/business presales, requirements analysis, presentation and demonstration, proof of concepts to support the sales process. Working in conjunction with our channel/sales teams and partners, you will act as technical and product mentor, adviser and advocate for our products and services.



  • Understanding of the banking/financial services industry and the opportunities for all business services, including digital and data products
  • Main focus on the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud Detection software and solutions
  • Be the subject matter expert on key partners, system integrators, products and services, sales objectives and strategies, pricing, and implementation services
  • Build relationships both internally and externally with customers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our partners and customer's business and technical staff
  • Pursue additional business development opportunities within customer firms
  • Collaborate with sales, product and marketing to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered
  • Monitor customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process and alert the sales team of potential risks to deal closure
  • Understand the customer value chain, requirements and business problems
  • Develop, facilitate and participate in discovery workshops. Document customer business and technical requirements, develop Proof of Concepts and value propositions to test market value of joint offerings
  • Create scope and criteria used to execute proof-of-concepts/experiments, and provide support in the evaluation process
  • Demonstrate our products and services to partners and customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows 
  • Act as the team’s technical and product encyclopedia, representing all aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems and jointly solution new opportunities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide responses to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Provide data, insight, and experience in developing the sales plan and forecast for new customer development
  • Must be willing to travel to visit partners and customers, and to engage in onsite customer work when required


  • College/University or equivalent 
  • Approximately 8 years’ experience
  • MUST have AML or Fraud Detection Services experience
  • Understanding of the Banking/Financial Industry, Clients and Trends
  • Data Mastery and Analytics Skills
  • Effective communications skills
  • Technical savvy and ability/willingness to learn
  • Problem solving and organization skills
  • Experience in developing customer relationships across all levels of the organization


  • Base salary range of $95,000 – 100,000 (commensurate upon experience)
  • Bonus up to $12,000
