Marketing Communications Manager – Markham, ON

Salary: $65,000 – 75,000

Our client is an exciting, fast growing player in the telecommunications and Internet service provider market. They have well established network, data, information technology and remote server based services. The company has leading edge technology with a very progressive corporate culture and structure. Presently they have an opening for a Marketing Communications Manager in one of their service divisions:

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the marketing communications programs involving discovery and collaboration from internal stakeholders, briefing external agencies and supervising the execution of programs on time and on budget
  • Assisting the Director or Marketing Communications in the development of communication strategy, campaigns and programs to support the marketing plan, including PR, advertising and promotion, customer events, digital programs etc.
  • Creating, curating and managing content assets for all usage applications by Marketing, Sales, PR and Investor Relations
  • Managing website and online presence such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. including proactive recommendations on topics, trends, and content ideas for online marketing content and campaigns
  • Developing sales support documentation for all channels
  • Managing monthly marketing budget tracking and reporting
  • Managing Marketing Specialist who assists with content creation, social media management and budget control

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing or related area
  • Must have 8-10+ years of marketing work experience with 4-5+ years’ experience in telecommunications or professional services marketing communications in B2B sector
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle competing priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, ambitious and creative personality with a desire to constantly grow and develop
  • Strong understanding of communications messaging
  • Energetic team player with proven skills in leading, planning and executing in a cross-functional team environment
  • Knowledge of brand strategy and product positioning an asset
  • Goal-focused, self-motivated individual able to deliver in a fast-paced environment with a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Base salary range of $65,0000 – 75,000 (commensurate upon experience)
