Digital Print Services Clerk
Duration: 12-month contract position
Location: Downtown Toronto
Compensation: $20-23 per hour
 
Our client, a law firm located in downtown Toronto, is looking for a Digital Print Services Clerk to join their legal print production team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, revel in the efficiency of state of the art scanning technology and are passionate about HD colour copy jobs, this may be the job for you!
 
Responsibilities
  • Operates reprographic production units – configures job-processing settings, manages job queues, processes files and print jobs, scans materials (book copying), and stores in digital format
  • Receives and processes electronic documents from marketing department and ensures accurate colour production, including all necessary finishing
  • Sets-up printing queues in relation to custom colour print-runs of firm publications and other marketing workflow pieces
  • Assists in short training sessions in regards to MFP technology; places service calls for MFPs when required
  • Assists in the control of stock levels in regards to all consumable supplies, i.e. toner, paper, tabs, etc.
  • Records job log details using established electronic methods
  • Works well with minimal supervision and according to well-defined, clear instructions
  • Liaises with marketing / creative department regarding colour production requests
  • Completes creation of electronic closing books, either on CD or USB key
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience with Xerox line of equipment a strong asset (Nuvera; Freeflow; Make Ready; Docutech Family / MFP and C75; Digipath – scanning) and ability to trouble shoot basic equipment problems
  • Previous experience in a digital print production environment utilizing related software an asset
  • Reproduction scanning technology, Freeflow Make Ready and Docutech experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook calendar, Excel, Word and Acrobat PDF files, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Proven experience with multitasking, prioritizing workloads and completing work in a timely manner, with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience in digital colour production (calibration of colour, paper stocks – weights & coated vs. uncoated, finishing, and spot colour)
