Our client, a well-established professional association, is looking for a Career Services Coordinator for a 1-Month Contract! This role assists Career Services in administering Career development and employment assistance for the members and students of the professional association. If you have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your time to meet deadlines, this may be the perfect opportunity to you!


  • Provides support to the Career Services Department
    • Answer telephone and email queries from students and members, employers, internal /external stakeholders & assess priority and advise and/or take action accordingly
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Career Services offerings
    • Co-ordinate and schedule day-to-day activities including (e.g., calendar, meeting and room bookings, conference registration)
    • Tracking and providing timely, accurate reporting regarding Career Services metrics
    • Recommend appropriate resources (including web-based), processes or services to a wide range of clients (students, candidates and members)
    • Contribute ideas, suggestions and activity to assist in the smooth running of a high-profile career center
    • Moderate Webinars, create PowerPoint presentations (and handouts)
    • Attend and participate in all required Career Services and Professional Development events
  • Provide career assistance to members
    • Provide assistance to members regarding career related topics including resume critiques, job search strategies, online presence as required
  • Front line point person for on-line resources including access to job boards, administering assessments, sourcing and posting new material.
    • Work with IT to maintain the sites
  • Maintain on-line job banks
    • Vetting and posting appropriate opportunities for job boards
    • Front line point person for employer and member queries
    • Prepare student newsletter with inputs from Career Services team
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned


  • University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Career or Learning Development certification from an accredited community college and a minimum of three (3) years equivalent work related experience
  • Advanced writing skills and strong computer skills with experience in MS Excel, Powerpoint & Word
  • Excellent time management skills and able to handle stressful deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
  • Able to multitask and balance competing priorities
  • High level interpersonal communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Skilled at reading and understanding business documents
  • Demonstrated aptitude in dealing with private and confidential information
  • Knowledge and experience working with filing systems (both electronic and paper)
