Business Development Manager, Hospitality & Event Staffing

The Business Development Manager’s role is to develop new business accounts, within a given territory/prospect list within the GTA for Bagg @ Your Service.  Focus will be primarily on temporary and direct hire Hospitality & Event Staffing.  Responsibilities will also include making clients aware of all service lines within Bagg Inc. and working with General Manager to achieve specific annual revenue targets. 

The Business Development Manager will work in the downtown Toronto head office primarily, with the flexibility to work remotely, at other Bagg offices and on client sites as needed.

Hours: will vary depending on client schedules and business requirements. 

Compensation: will vary depending on skills and experience, 3 weeks vacation to start + benefits. 

Time will be split between various tasks as follows:

  • 75% sales calls and visits
  • 15% contract negotiation, RFPs and transitioning accounts to team successfully 
  • 10% preparing and tracking sales activity

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setting appointments through cold calls, in person and by phone. Sending out correspondence and marketing pieces.
  • Development and implementation of a goals and objectives plan for account penetration. This will be done in conjunction with your Manager.
  • Identify and contact decision makers and order placers to set appointments for purposes of business development.
  • Become familiar with the history of Bagg @ Your Service, as well as features and benefits of services for presentation purposes.
  • Keep operations and other divisions informed regarding client status as necessary.
  • Research business in territory/prospects with reference to suitability to targeting as potential accounts or for development of existing accounts.
  • Set-up business development strategies for specific accounts and with Manager approval as needed.
  • Effectively service and develop each account or potential account.
  • Follow-up with dissatisfied customers to ensure immediate service recovery and report to Manager same day.
  • Visit all active accounts in person as needed for maintenance, staff check ins, etc. - the frequency rate proportional to the importance, potential and volume, so determined by Business Development Manager and Manager.
  • Develop a solid rapport with account towards a mutually beneficial relationship and long-lasting partnership.
  • Always represent Bagg Technology Resources in a professional manner using customer satisfaction as the main goal.
  • Interact with Recruitment team and Manager regarding account status and follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in the staffing or event sales industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and knowledge of Bullhorn is an asset
