Assistant to President and CEO – Education Sector (GTA)

Up to $50K Annual Base + Bonus + Benefits

Our client, a private educational institution, is looking to hire an Administrative Professional to support their President and CEO. The successful hire will take on the consistent and varied tasks of managing the President’s schedule and coordinate multiple projects. An ability to be adaptable and highly accurate would be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the President and CEO, your role will be to provide support and keep them organized
  • Calendar and e-mail management (MS Outlook), appointments, meetings and events
  • Travel arrangements (local and international) including flights, hotel, car rental; learning the CEO’s preferences and corporate standards
  • Maintaining budget and associated reporting
  • Managing weekly executive and external stakeholder meetings, scheduling, coordinating, setting up conference rooms, technology, catering and taking meeting minutes
  • Proofing/editing/writing, and documentation management – presentations, proposals, and speeches
  • Drafting outgoing correspondence and maintaining all incoming contact (mail, phone calls, e-mail, letters, packages), screening and prioritizing as required
  • Filing confidential documents, records and reports
  • Conducting research and assist in preparing materials for training and events
  • Assisting on planning corporate meetings, events, holiday parties, social gatherings
  • Being a liaison to other stakeholders in the company, while providing communication to all other departments as required.
  • General office management, including facilities maintenance, ordering supplies

Qualifications:

  • Completed post-secondary education (diploma, certificate or degree)
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative professional experience
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Expert level organizational skills with proactive, resourceful and flexible working style
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating confidence in working with both internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Must have calm, poised and professional demeanour
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and ethics

Job Offer:

  • Base salary range of $47,000 – 50,000 (commensurate upon experience)
  • Corporate profit sharing bonus
