Our Financial Client in Mississauga is currently seeking AML officers


Position Title: AML Officer 
Pay Rate: $ 18.33/hour 
Start Date: 9/18/17 
Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension
Rotational schedule: 8 am to 8 pm, ideally 8:00 am 4:30 pm and working 12 pm to 8 pm 1 day a week
Location: Mississauga

Department Overview:
The Small Business Banking Account Review team within Banking Services is responsible for reviewing SBB Deposit Account documentation to ensure compliance on new account and maintenance of signing authority is fulfilled in accordance with AML/KYC/KYB policy. 

The Small Business Banking Account Review team completes the following activities: 

• Documentation review and validation 
• Retail partner follow-up 
• Manage partner escalations 


• The successful candidate must be able to work well independently and as part of a team 
• Must possess excellent organizational skills 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential 
• Must be accurate, resourceful and have a willingness to learn 
• The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic individual who demonstrates the ability to work in changing, fast paced, deadline oriented environment 
• Solid computer skills are required 
• Customer driven with a focus on providing exceptional customer service at all times 
• Ability to take ownership of a situation at all times and know when to escalate issues as required 
• College and/or university degree would be an asset 
Additional Information 
• Works within generally defined guidelines, accountable for completing a range of transactions and activities that involve single to multiple steps and several systems or applications characterized by a combination of manual and automated processes 
• Ability to assess and make decisions on ensuring Small Business Accounts are AML/KYC/KYB compliant 
• Transactions and activities require process knowledge including provincial/jurisdictional regulatory requirements, and could be characterized by moderate risk 
• Identifies issues and resolves or escalates internally as required (within a prescribed set of parameters/rules) 
• Focus of work is on the completion of day to day processes or activities, however might be assigned additional activities as required 
• Requires working level knowledge of the business unit and operational functions for the business area supported as well as provincial/jurisdictional regulatory requirements
